Our logo has also been renewed. It has been customized so it looks good using computers, tablets, phones and social media. But we kept the weird looking “M”. We decided to keep it because of its history. The red line is the mass spectrum of a metastable ion. A metastable ion dissociates on the way from the ion source (for example EI) to the mass analyzer and therefore yields this typical spectrum shape.
